We have a fabulous team of friendly, enthusiastic volunteers in our division so why not join us?

No matter how much time you have there is an opportunity for you. You don’t need to have any knowledge or experience of Girlguiding, just a willingness to join us on our adventure.

We rely on amazing people just like you to help us provide exciting experiences for our girls and young women and we have a lot of fun in doing so.

Our youngsters make fantastic choices in the places they want to visit and the things they want to do and we as adults get to share their enjoyment and have opportunities to meet new people, make new friends, visit new places and participate in activities we might never have otherwise done.

Here’s a few of the opportunities you may experience:

Offsite events not in our usual meeting place like Namco, Jump Xtreme, the Snowdome, pantomime.
Day trips: Locally to places like Ash End House Farm, Conkers, Drayton Manor Park
Further afield to the Black Country Living Museum, Monkey Forest, Ninja Warrior, Warner Brothers Studio, Legoland etc
Sleepovers: Locally in Tamworth Castle, The Big Play Barn, Conkers, Birmingham Sealife Centre or perhaps a themed event planned by the girls.
Residentials can be anything from an adventure break at sites like PGL and Kingswood to a medieval weekend in a forest setting.
Camps – Opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors, from a small unit event learning the necessary skills to an International Scout and Guide Camp featuring adventurous activities and ceremonies.

You can have the worst day at work, have a million things on your to do list but when you get to Brownies it doesn’t matter. For that hour and half, you are there for them. The reward of them being engaged, their laughs, and just their silliness at times.

It’s also great to be part of the development from the shy/tearful 7yr old, who won’t join in or talk to you, over the weeks/years becomes the confident 10yr old and potential leader of the future.
